Domino's adds brownie dessert to menu

Domino's will be introducing new brownie squares as a dessert beginning nationwide on August 21. Domino's new Brownie Squares come 10 to an order ("bite-sized brownies with warm chocolaty centers"). They are delivered with a side of fudge dipping sauce.

They are Domino's first dessert menu item not to use traditional pizza dough.

"Everyone loves brownies, but no one can deliver on the promise of warm, oven-baked brownies delivered right to your door like the Delivery Experts at Domino's Pizza," said Ken Calwell, Domino's chief marketing officer.

As a special promotion, customers who order a large pizza at regular menu price will receive an order of Domino's Brownie Squares absolutely free.

UPDATE: Domino's now has a web site,, dedicated to the Brownie Squares (evidently now known as Fudgems) that has games, downloads and various animations of 'Fudgems' dancing. The site is also available in a Spanish version, Brownito instead of Fudgems, at

These things are NAAAAASTY. I ordered a pizza that came with these for free this weekend and they were actually too gross to eat. And I'll eat almost anything!

Hard as a rock on the outside, no brownie flavor on the inside. Then again, the pizza wasn't all that good either from this particular Dominos... but I can't imagine them being much better.

More people speak Mandarin Chinese than Spanish, so they should translate into Mandarin.

Girlfriend and I had them on Thursday and were very impressed.

They tasted just like store bought instant brownie mix, nice and warm, the inside was moist and dipping them in the fudge was a perfect mix.

Not really sure if I would ever get them again since brownies and pizza don't go together well in my stomach, but as they stand by themselves they were great.

My husband hated them. I thought they were better than sex mixed with Christmas.

Saw this ad during the Pats game. They are trying to kill American’s one heart attack at a time. This is how the crack dealers do it. The first taste is free . . .

This was not brilliant, it was about as bad as they tasted!

I appreciated Dominoe's brownies as well as their more recent Oreo dessert pizza. The fudgey bytes reminded me of chocolate souffle cake, rich in butter (or marGaRine), chocolate, and eggs, but very little FlouR. Though the Oreo pie was not as gourmet, it still hit the spot for a little something besides pizza, wings, and salad. I actually liked the unique low-fat crust and am hoping it will show up in the grocery store as a diet product. It is flakey as long as it's HoT, but who has any leftovers?!?
